Share a report snapshot

A snapshot saves a copy of the report as it appears now, with its current readings and comments, at a public link. Anyone with the link can view it without signing in, and it does not update when new data arrives. What the copy contains and how long it stays are in Report snapshots.

You need the operator, editor, admin, or owner role. If the report shows no Share snapshot button, ask an editor to turn on Show snapshot sharing button under On the report.

Create a snapshot

  1. Set the window and the visible parameters you want in the copy.
  2. Select Share snapshot beside CSV. The button turns into a progress bar while the views and comments finish loading. To stop, select Cancel snapshot.
  3. When the dialog Snapshot ready to share appears, select Copy to copy the link, or Open to view the snapshot.
  4. Select Done.

Remove a snapshot

The app has no button to delete a snapshot. Remove it from a local workspace:

  1. Run pnpm hmi pull.
  2. Find the snapshot’s folder from its link: the link ends in /<reportId>/<date>/<uuid>/index.html, and the folder is src/report-renders/<reportId>/<date>/<uuid>/. Delete that folder.
  3. Run pnpm hmi push. The link stops working.
