Setup → Stored data shows what the workspace stores and is billed for. Editors can see it. To change retention or delete data, you need the Admin or Owner role. The page’s cards, units, and retention rules are described under Setup: Stored data.
See what the workspace stores
Section titled “See what the workspace stores”- Open Setup → Stored data.
- Read the totals for what the workspace pays for now.
- In the readings table, find the parameters with the most records, and the retention that applies to each.
Set how long readings are kept
Section titled “Set how long readings are kept”Deleted readings cannot be recovered.
- Open Setup → Stored data.
- Under Readings retention, select Change on the default.
- Choose Keep everything or a number of days. The default applies to every parameter that no rule covers, and to readings of deleted parameters.
- Check how many records the dialog says the change deletes, then save.
- To keep some parameters for a different time, select Add rule. Choose the parameters or branches and the number of days, or keep them for ever, then save.
A rule for a branch also covers parameters added to it later. The most specific rule wins.
Delete readings
Section titled “Delete readings”Deleted readings cannot be recovered.
- Open Setup → Stored data.
- Choose what to delete:
- All parameters: select Delete readings… on the Readings card.
- One parameter: select the trash button on its row.
- Some parameters or branches: select them in Setup → Parameters and select Delete readings… in the toolbar.
- Choose Older than a date, In a period, or All readings.
- Check the number of records the dialog will delete, then confirm.
The deletion runs in the background. You get a notification when it finishes.
